FINDING THE STORY

Focus, Create, Present

The Storytelling Process

A story helps us experience and understand other people and their perspectives as we learn and experience our own place in the world. A well-told story can change our own thoughts, words, and actions. When related ideas are united by a story, your audience will be given a deeper understanding of who your company is and what your brand stands for. When you set out to connect with your audience, you have to Tell Stories Better

FOCUS ON THE STORY

PULLING THE THREAD

Everybody has a story to tell.

But telling the story effectively can be a complex and daunting process. We distill the complex by pulling at the thread of the story – revealing the most compelling narrative that will relate with your audience.

Gather all information

Collect everything you can find about the challenges and obstacles facing your organization. Then, sort and group that information to find the common issues.

Define the audience and set your goal

Work to establish goals and the appropriate audience related to your list of issues.

Pursue the compelling story thread

Prioritize your list of issues to resolve your biggest issues first.

Simplify and focus on the message

Find one message that will reach, motivate, and inspire your audience to achieve your desired outcomes and behaviors.

Case Study

The best person to talk about how great your brand is are those who have already experienced it for themselves.

Lighting

Use of lights to dramatically enhance the appearance of your story’s characters and locations.

We value a story for its ability to give a voice the means to capture and hold a listener’s attention while also allowing the listener the ability to personalize and own the experience on an emotional level.

PRESENT THE STORY

RESULTS OF A WELL-TOLD STORY

Inspire and connect with your audience.

When reaching the end of the video-making process the excitement of previewing the video causes many businesses to lose focus of their original goal. It’s understandable, seeing that so much effort, creativity, and planning goes into making a video. Yet, one important factor keeps the most beautiful, moving, and effective video from being better than the worst-made video. What could it be? Maybe the script or the cinematography? Perhaps it is the editing, sound mixing, and color correction? All of those things do help ensure your video’s message is effective but the final part of a successful video is capturing the data that validates if the video engaged with your intended audience and motivated action in a manner that positively addresses the issue you set out to resolve.

We believe Telling Stories Better includes using key analytics to measure and validate your viewing audience’s habits and actions. The information will show if you’re achieving your goals or if aspects like the video’s length, title, or even the thumbnail need to change to improve engagement. You may even find new information is revealed that helps you have an even bigger impact.

If this seems overwhelming, don’t fret, we can guide you.
